Clinical Supervision
Being a clinical supervisor is one of my most treasured identities as a psychologist and person. I have supervised, trained, and mentored numerous beginning therapists since 2010, including master's, doctoral, postdoctoral, and early career therapists in counseling, clinical/counseling psychology, and social work. This includes three years as the Training Director of a college counseling center.
I help therapists-in-training and early career clinicians to:
feel more permission to be “themselves” as therapists
increase their comfort with emotions and with discussions of identity and power
more intentionally use themselves and the therapeutic relationship in their work
conceptualize cases holistically, considering identities, relational dynamics, symptoms/diagnoses, and cultural context
My approach to supervision is relational, developmental, identity-centered, emotionally-focused, and guided by anti-oppressive and decolonizing perspectives. Whenever possible, I strongly prefer to incorporate review of videotaped sessions in supervision.
Please contact me if you would like to discuss my fees and whether I might be a good fit for you as a supervisor.
